The Manga International Network Team (MINT) project aims to raise awareness and appreciation of Japanese manga’s diversity, including the works by those selected to be a part of the project, through participation in manga-related events and exhibitions in North America. As the first step in this endeavor, the MINT project will exhibit at Anime Expo 2025 in Los Angeles this July. Anime Expo is the largest and most popular anime and manga event in North America, where fans and industry professionals congegrate. Last year AX attracted approximately 410,000 visitors from over 64 countries around the world.
The MINT project booth is #2700 in the South Hall right near the main entrance and will feature displays introducing the project and each selected manga artist, offer complimentary catalogs featuring English samples of each manga artist’s work, and screen videos introducing the project and each manga artist on monitor displays.
Kinoshita Itaru and his editor at Shinchosha, Matsumura Tomoka, will be attending Anime Expo. Characters and goods from Dinsoaur Sanctuary will be on display and light anime* will be shown on the booth’s monitor displays. Kinoshita will also take part in a talk session, book signing, and live drawing.
*The light anime for Dinosaur Sanctuary is to promote the manga and is not a pilot for an anime series.
