NewsExhibition Catalog: “MANGA・マンガ・漫画: Beyond the Mainstream”

The MINT Project held the exhibition “MANGA・マンガ・漫画: Beyond the Mainstream” at the Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD), Ohio, from September 18, 2025, to January 18, 2026, and also at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival (TCAF) from June 6 to 7, 2026.

This exhibition introduces a variety of Japanese alternative manga styles outside the mainstream and highlights its unique media environments and distribution systems. Through this catalog, you will find how the six MINT creators’ artworks are positioned in the Japanese manga context and gain a deeper understanding of its diverse manga traditions.
