NewsTwo New Nominations for the French Version of Marco Kohinata’s Akari

Following her recent nomination for Best One-Shot Manga for the English version of her manga, MINT creator Kohinata Marco receives two new nominations for the French translation of her work.

The first nomination is for the Prix Asie de la Critique ACBD 2026, which is awarded to individuals by the Association of Critics and Journalists of Comics to honor the best Asian comic translated into French. Kohinata is one of five nominees who are up for this year’s award, which will be announced on July 9th, 2026, at Japan Expo Paris.

Chosen from a group of 25 titles in the Graphic Novels You Should Check Out compilation (25 albums à découvrir), Akari’s second nomination comes in the form of the Prix Ouest-France – Quai des Bulles. The winner will be announced this coming October at the comic festival, Quai des Bulles in Saint-Malo, France.
